| 25hrs
was a screening of video art held in Barcelona on 9th May, 2003.
We presented around 300 pieces with a maximum length of 20 minutes
by international artists of all tendencies and from different cultural
environments. The screening was held on a large screen, in a space
in the city centre where we will provide adequate seating for a
large number of viewers.
Artists and their work will be chosen from a variety of backgrounds
and a wide scope of videographic registers will be accepted in order
to give a complete, general vision of current video art.
The selection was made by invitation and through an open
call.
25hrs published a catalogue
of the event, which will provide a comprehensive and useful tool
for artists and curators.
The event start include, as an introduction, Dziga
Vertov's 1929 movie, 'The Man With The Movie Camera' . This
film is our "25th hour" for its pioneering use of film
techniques now in widespread use.
25hrs is a project by TheVideoArtFoundation
in collaboration with UNXposed.
