May / June '07 Loop Barcelona. Spain Participation of videoDictionary in the Loop fair, Barcelona Presentation of Sergio Prego's new video "Flicker" realized with the support of Loop-Barcelona. The video was presented to the means of communication at the contemporary art museum Macba and to the general audience during the opening of the fair in the hotel Catalonia Ramblas (Barcelona). May '06 Image-Forum Tokio. Japón Screening at Image-Forum. Tokyo, Japan videoDictionary was part of the Festival programme. During the opening in Tokyo, the new words produced with the aid of Generalitat de Catalunya and of the festival itself were presented. These new works have been realized by the following artists: Jordi Colomer, Luis Bisbe, Tere Recarens, Toni Serra, Kazuhiro Goshima and Hiroharu Mori. Their works were presented together with a selection of other video-words of the collection, for a total duration of 60 minutes. This programme travels through Japan to the different cities where the Festival is held. December '05 Impakt Festival Utrecht, NL Gallery show and four new works commisioned by the Impakt Festival. 7th December 2005 videoDictionary has been shown at the Impakt Festival in Utrecht. At Casco gallery in central Utrecht five terminals were installed. The visitors could watch 70 words/works. 15 new words have been added to the videoDictionary collection on this occasion. 15th November '05 Open Call Deadline October / December '05 Centre d'Art Santa Mònica Barcelona. Spain Exhibition of videoDictionary Centre d'Art Santa Mònica , Barcelona. The whole collection of videoDictionary is shown at a consultation room where visitors can select the words/works that are shown in a projection. Opening: Friday 7 th at 20:00. Until 11 th December. 28th July '05 Centre d'Art Santa Mònica Barcelona. Spain Screening 28th July 2005 at 22:00 Centre d'Art Santa Mònica, Barcelona. On that day a selection of words/works was shown a the terrace of the Centre. The event was the occasion to present the project that will be shown at the gallery during October, November and December 2005. July / September '05 La Casa Encendida Madrid. Spain Exhibition 55 words at information space 5th July '05 La Casa Encendida Madrid. Spain Screening 5th of July 20:00 at La Casa Encendida , Madrid. Presentation of the 55 first words on a consultation space that was opened till last September. Visitors could watch the whole collection by selecting the works on a computer system provided. The presentation consisted in an introduction to the project by the Spanish linguist Enrique Bernárdez followed by the screening of the 10 words that have been commissioned by La Casa Encendida. Some other works completed the programme. Works by Mark Lewis, Marijke van Warmerdam, Johan Grimonprez, Dryden Goodwin, Emmanuelle Antille, Kuang-Yu Tsui, Zev Robinson, Thanos Chrysakis, Alison Chung-Yan, Cecilia Lundqvist, Ikeshita Sanae, Yasu Ichigue, Ayako Yoshimura, Juande Jarillo and Kay Walsh was screened at UGC Cinemas at 8pm . These new additions to the videoDictionary collection had been funded by the Arts Council of England, in collaboration with festival's organiser, Prenelle Gallery. 16th December '04 La Casa Encendida Madrid. Spain Presentation. 28 words were selected from the open call Last Thursday 16th December videoDictionary was presented at the auditorium of La Casa Encendida in Madrid. At the event, after a short introduction about the project by TheVideoArtFoundation, the 28 video/words selected on the first open call were screened. The show, with the videos ordered alphabetically, lasted for 40 minutes. The audience enjoyed the show and clapped many of the videos, with an ovation at the end of the programme. La Casa Encendida has commissioned also ten new words created specifically by ten artists for the collection that would be presented in February 2005 in a new venue at La Casa Encendida premises. The invited artist are : Sophie Whettnall, Antoni Muntadas, Pierre Bismuth, Matthias Müller/Christoph Girardet, Alicia Framis, Shimabuku, Julia Montilla, Meiro Koizumi, Doron Solomons and Jeroen Kooijmans. 16th October '04 Open Call Deadline 15th April '04 Island Art Film and Video Festival London, UK Presentation and launch of the open call
