videoDictionary aims at the creation of a collection of video pieces of less than one minute each, associated to a word (their title) so that they visually express it or conceptually define it.

Either the works’ images or soundtracks shall contain words. Each video piece is to be made by a different artist.

VideoDictionary is a project about the relationship of words and moving images. It separates these two elements that usually are combined for better impact in the media world. In videoDictionary the artists are compelled to work in a different working frame than normally and in each occasion different artists find different possibilities of defining words, enriching conceptually and visually the collection.

Right now, videoDictionary comprises 88 video-words, created by international artists and included in the collection by means of invitation and aid for production or through open calls.
